Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, the Mexican American reporter. Her current role is a sportscaster for ESPN who is also anchor of SportsCenter as well as hosting SportsNation. She began working for ESPN in 2016. She is the daughter of television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual woman and has been for a long time, starting at when she was nine years old. They eventually moved from Veracruz Mexico to Mexico City where she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. Also, she has a sibling. The family relocated to Miami in 1992 after leaving Mexico. Their divorce was soon followed in 1995. Her mother remarried one of the naval architects named Fabio Fajardo who died of kidney cancer in the year 2006. The summer vacation that she stayed with her younger sister living in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl was offered a job. Still a senior in high school and yet having an idea of what she would like to accomplish for her life, Antonietta went to the University of Mount Union to determine if the school was suitable for her needs. She discovered that she liked the campus, and the university offered the degree she was looking for. Following the completion of her high school education, she enrolled in the University to pursue media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor as well as the director of WRMU and WRMU, which she is a part of. They formed a strong connection. The passion he had for journalism as well as the confidence she had in herself encouraged her. She, in turn, tried to meet the requirements of his boss and not fail him.
