Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress from America. in the television and film industry, she's known for her many nominations and awards. Bassett comes born in New York New York. She was raised at Winston-Salem North Carolina. The mother of Bassett had divorced from her father at around five. Her younger sister relocated to St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett chose to become an actor after watching the play Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. Following her graduation of Yale University New Haven Connecticut in 1980 with the Bachelor's degree with a major in African American Studies, she went on to earn a Master's Degree (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. She was introduced to Courtney B. Vance, a fellow actress at Yale and they were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. the Yale School of Drama granted the degree of Master of Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Bassett back in the year 1980. She attended the following schools: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for students in 7th grade, Azalea Middle School for 8th & 9th grades and Boca Ciega High School.
