Following her graduation of Yale University New Haven Connecticut in 1980 with the Bachelor's degree with a major in African American Studies, she went on to earn a Master's Degree (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. She was introduced to Courtney B. Vance, a fellow actress at Yale and they were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. the Yale School of Drama granted the degree of Master of Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Bassett back in the year 1980. She attended the following schools: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for students in 7th grade, Azalea Middle School for 8th & 9th grades and Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett, who plays Ramonda the female protagonist in the action adventure film I. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
